Carolina’s Calling LLC. is a veteran owned and operated company located in the Eastern Panhandle of West Virginia. Carolina’s Calling’s mission is to offer beautiful handmade jewelry at affordable pricing. 

Behind the Name

Lauren was born in Raleigh, North Carolina and since then has lived in 6 states. She has lived in West Virginia with her mom and step dad since 2007, and it was hard growing up away from her dad, grandparents and other family members. Lauren served 8 years in the United States Army Reserves as the NCO of CBRN operations.  Since then she has traveled all over the globe through the military and in her personal travels. While serving in the Army, she obtained a Master of Arts Degree with hopes of securing a great job for her future family.

During college, Lauren decided she would stay in WV near her parents. Lauren met her husband and they bought land in hopes of starting a family near both parents. While she loves the West Virginia way of life, a part of her hopes one day she will make it back to North Carolina. Throughout her world travels, it’s always been her favorite place, and it’s calling her home.

So Why Jewelry?

Lauren has always loved creating handmade crafts for her and her loved ones. Transitioning out of a career where a uniform dictated what she wore made her aware of the demand for affordable accessories to match not only professional attire but weekend attire as well. She wanted to create custom pieces that pull an outfit together and make a statement.
